Life Happens

I’ve posted some sketches from some very exciting travels over the last couple of months. But between all the exciting adventures, everyday stuff happens. And gets recorded.

Like Taekwondo class. (Brushpen with grey ink+Fude Pen)taekwando

Practice. And Performances. (Brushpen, colored pencils, Fude Pen, White Acrylic Marker)

Some homework. Yes, only one of my kids seems to do any. (Dip pen, pink ink, gold acrylic ink, water soluble colored pencil)

And a fair amount of ‘doing not-much’.(Brushpen, Fude Pen, White Acrylic Marker)lazing1

And every once in a while, there’s pizza involved.(Brushpen, Fude Pen, White Acrylic Marker)

When friends who draw turn up, you draw them. (Brushpens with black and grey ink, Tinted lip balm)

At other times it’s just the cat watching you work.

You draw it all. Except the cat, maybe, who gets shooed off the table before she tries to drink the paint water.

Wonderful sketches! I wonder at those drawn when your subject was in full motion, still you captured the movement and moment. Wonderful!

Happy Holidays, Suhita. Thanks for sharing your sketches and comments throughout the past year. I appreciate the media notations–fun to see different media interactions. Your drawings bring one into the action–particularly fond of the comics reader and pizza sketches.

Great “everyday” sketches, as always. And love that your keys are tossed in with the palette! That way, you can’t lose either one, right? 😉
