My body of work varies widely in subject, but it all ties back to a single, underlying aim: to see and capture the world around me as a traveller would, viewing both the everyday and the exotic with fresh eyes. I work primarily in watercolor, but I add in and play with many other mediums in my practice.
I am an urban sketcher, an artist, illustrator, journalist and teacher. I was born in India, to which I attribute my love for color and energy. I now live in San Jose, California and calls both countries home.
I have been featured in the Mercury News, on KQED and have taught workshops in exciting locales around the world, as well as locally.
I am an international correspondent with the non-profit Urban Sketchers and run a popular Etsy store where I sell my artwork.
