Emily Metalskin channels Mata Hari

A few weeks ago, I attended a zoom-based life drawing session with Emily Metalskin channeling Mata Hari. Emily is one of a handful of models I’ve drawn who can emote and make a virtual session come so alive, that you forget you aren’t in the room with her.

When drawing from home, I draw on an assortment of papers, throwing them down on my studio floor as I switch to the next pose. I photographed the pieces as I put them down, so here they are in the sequence in which they landed on my floor.
