Fragments. Memories.

Some of the quickest sketches are the ones with the best memories. They might now always be “good” sketches, but I am always glad I made them and dated them.

Like these quick studies of Russ and his assistant jackhammering through the concrete that was a part of my backyard since 1971.

And these, in a tiny sketchbook at a high school band concert. I still haven’t gotten over how special it is to have live performance back!

These quickies are from when Kavya got two shots at her annual checkup. I sketch the little kids in the waiting area while I wait. (What a seismic shift from when I was in that examination room trying my darnest to distract them during shots)
