A day in Berkeley

Here’s a single sketch from a site I’ve been meaning to visit for a while now, the Albany Bulb. This former landfill is full of urban art, wildflowers and dogs and people out on walks.

I didn’t have time for more sketching, but I will go back when it is warmer and less windy, perhaps.

Next stop, Boichik Bagels where the line for bagels was always long, and now made longer by 6 feet distancing and a piece in the New York times. I sketched this, then hopped to the end of the line to get me a bialy. Join the line, you won’t be disappointed.

My last sketch before I headed out of Berkeley was this lovely Arts and Crafts home with a glorious little garden in the front.

    • Dee, I love in san jose and am not up in Berkeley often but do you know the urban sketchers group in Berkeley or the SF Sketchers group? Both sketch much more often than I do in the area and they are lovely people!
