More Fall Colors

Until that next big gust of wind blows all the leaves off the trees, I’ll be sketching them. Here are more in the “Fall in Almaden” series.

Here is my favorite gingko tree in the neighborhood, in wax crayons. I had so much fun doing this, a nice change from last years captures in watercolor and pen & ink.

What makes these suburban trees is that there’s inevitably a car under them. Sometimes, there are a lot of cars.

Are you sketching in your neighborhood? Post your local sketches with the #sketchinglocal hashtag on instagram if you are, I’d love to see them.

  2. Nice sketches of trees, I really like how you handled the colour in the top drawing.
