Blue and Gold

Two recent pieces that play bold complements of blue against gold.

This pear on a striped blue dish.

And some treasures from the sea on a handmade platter.

Colors in my palette that are reflected in these pieces: Cobalt Teal, Ultramarine Blue, Indanthrone Blue, Cobalt Blue, Quin Rose, Transparent Pyrrol Orange, Monte Amiata Natural Sienna, Transparent Red Oxide. Also, graphite and ink.

Both are little demos from a recent Sketching PlayLab session. Have you joined Paul Wang and me in one yet? If you haven’t, I hope you come join in some time! Sketching PlayLab is a play-based and donation-based exploratory art session that Paul and I lead a few times every week. You can get on our mailing list to hear of new sessions by emailing .
