The nicest thing about backyard fruit is it comes with leaves and stems and makes for fun drawings. Like this lemon.

I caught a school science experiment in action, so here is my people-sketching for the day. That thing I’m calling a pakkad is just kitchen tongs, Indian style. It must take a good bit of thinking for teachers to adapt what they’d do in the lab to what kids can do with what is available at home. And while the physics experiments have gotten decidedly simpler at first glance, there’s so much more creative thinking going into rigging up a setup with simple tools to do the experiment.

What strikes me most of all is that your sketches and stories are so much better than a photograph. These family images are full of feelings.
