Yesterday my big kid turned 15 and we baked her a cake. of course my book was on the kitchen table while we baked and I caught some quick sketches between things.
And then while the cake was in the oven, I sketched the cars in my driveway. I meant to record this in steps but as happens often, I took one shot, then forgot about it until I was done.
Yum! Thanks for sharing the recipe.
I love the colors in your cars!

Great cars!! No cars in my neighborhood. All safe in the garages. I might need to go sit in a grocery parking lot and draw a few.

I can hardly believe she’s 15 already. If I hadn’t become so lazy lately, I’d follow your recipe and bake that cake right now. And your cars are beautiful! (the sketch of you cars, I mean)

I normally have little interest in cars, but your metallic colors and reflections made me stop in my tracks. Wow ! All the best to you and your family, and Happy Birthday to your daughter. Thank you for sharing your sketches with us all.

Curious, Suhita: What green did you use? I see a greenish-blue but I think there’s also a pure green…

The blue-green is cobalt teal in mixes with yellows.
