Day 26 at Home: Virtual Burlesque

Oops, I forgot the hit the “publish” button on this, so day 26 of shelter in place is a little bit late. But here it is.

I attended an online figure drawing session with really fun poses by Sheba Queen of the Night.

Drawing at home means I can grab any supplies I feel like form my supply shelf without having decided in advance what I will work with. Sheba’s bright red lipstick and black leather called for acrylic inks with their dense, glossy finish. I drew directly with the ink dropper on the acrylics, used mostly watercolor on the skintones, and threw in some soluble watercolor pencil and pen when I felt like it.¬†These were all quick pieces, two, five or seven minutes each.

If you’d like to join in a session, follow the group Draw Breath on facebook and join in the next one. The group is open to anyone, and all they ask is that you tip the model at the end of your session.
