Day 9 at Home: Zoom Music Lessons and a thought-provoking video.

Not much sketching today except for two quick sketches while the kids did a music class via Zoom.
These two, quick and messy, but fun.

My friend Diane sent me this fabulous video today called “How drawing helps you think”. So many fantastic thought here, give it a 17-minute watch.

I jotted down some things that struck me from it while I watched:
• Drawing is bigger than art. It is a way to think in pictures.
• When we draw, labels disappear and we see what is actually there around us.
• We tend to draw what we already know and not what we see.
• We don’t find beauty. We make the world beautiful by paying attention to it.

That was my Tuesday. Back soon.
