Understanding the kids has it’s challenges. They speak in Memes and in Minecraft. I’m listening in on their conversation but it means nothing to me.
And we’re really getting to think about how lucky we are. An orange tree in our backyard and time on our hands means fresh orange juice.
And a thought on color, triggered by an online comment by Nishant Jain. For color that shines, you need a lot of neutrals in your sketch. It helps if the neutrals are alive. Which is why palette mud, that stuff that inevitably forms when your colors sit next to each other in your mixing area, is my friend.
Keep sketching. I’ll try and blog everyday. I hope my sketches help you think of things you could sketch, and make you feel good about the little stuff in the day. I know that the work you share online does that for me.
