People Alive! (San Francisco Bay Area)

An Urban Sketching Workshop with Suhita in Saratoga, California (San Francisco Bay Area)
Sat, May 30, 2020 • 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM • Saratoga Farmers’ Market at West Valley College

This workshop is designed to help you draw sketches with people full of life. There’s something for everyone, whether you are afraid to draw people, or someone looking for a fresh way to see and draw them. We will start by drawing people at a distance, relying on just the idea of shape. Next we’ll use gesture-drawing building in more detail and action for people that look alive. And lastly, we will bring together line and shape and put it all in context to draw people in a setting.

In this workshop we will
• Learn to draw people through observation using different techniques combining shape and line drawing
• Get a basic understanding of the structure of the human figure in a non-intimidating way that allows us to use our observation combined with this knowledge
• Learn to introduce people in a setting

Cost: $55

    Hi Suhita,

I am dying to take your People Alive! workshop in Saratoga (I live in San Jose) but for now I’m scheduled to be traveling on that day. Our trip, though, is based on my husband’s early May work event going ahead, and I’m guessing it will be cancelled

If I sign up and then can’t go, can I transfer my spot to someone on the waitlist? Or… can I buy a few hours of your time for a people sketching tutorial at your favorite coffee shop?

    Thanks,

    Linda

    • Linda, I don’t do one-on-one workshops just now, and group settings works best, you learn from everyone . I’d say wait and see what you find out with your husbands worktrip for a few days…
