It seems odd to go visit a big city and then spend so much time lounging around in a park. But I get a kick out of lying in the grass and seeing skyscrapers on the horizon. And the park is great for people sketching.
Some quick little doodles from the corners of pages..
And these musicians in the park.
I thought my son was taking a video of me sketching, but this is the video I found on my phone. Clearly the musicians fascinated him a lot more than my sketching.
I am very fascinated by the way you draw people and and how you use your fude pen with such ease! I wish I could one day learn directly from you! Except you live more or less on the other side of the globe (I was too late for a ticket in Amsterdam). So all I can do is learn from your sketches here and practice! Thanks so much for sharing!

You never know, one day we might be on the same side of the globe. Where do you live?

Thomas, thank you! I like to mix it up : it’s easy to be excited about sketching when I travel and I try to bring that same excitement back home to what I see and draw. It’s harder for sure!
