Travel Sketching Workshop in Oaxaca, Mexico

Here’s a workshop I am SUPER excited about. It’s in one of my favorite places I’ve ever visited, a sketcher’s paradise: Oaxaca, Mexico.

Join me for thisĀ 6-Day, 5-Night Sketching Workshop fromĀ October 8 – 13, 2019

We’ll sketch on food tours and in markets, at street parades and on walks down beautiful cobbled lanes. We’ll visit and sketch at historic archaeological sites and in potter’s studios while they create Oaxaca’s famous black pottery. It will be an adventure! And we’re in the hands of Meagan Burns of Art Leap Adventures, so it promises to be an exciting experience.

12 spots only, so sign up soon.

Sure wish I could come. Perhaps another time. I was wondering if we are going to have the direct watercolor challenge again this June. It was great last year

My friend is from Oaxaca, and it is such a beautiful place. I painted a watercolor for my friend of the dancers from the seven regions who gather for the dancing festival which you captured so beautifully in your sketch. I would love to attend, but alas I cannot. Greetings and best wishes for all !

I went to Oaxaca with Meagan some months ago to scout for sketching locations and get a feel for the place. It is a truly great town for sketching…and more. I’m delighted that you and Meagan are joining forces for this workshop.

  4. Wow, it always amazes me, how you paint people.

  5. The energy of the dancers in your painting – beautiful.
