This is Santa Fe Plaza. Huge bunches of red chili peppers hang everywhere.
And this is the view from our rental apartment. I loved those monsoon skies and the lighting and thunder.
Gotta love watercolor blooms!

They hang ristras from the light posts? Do folks grab a few for dinner that night? Such a funny thing to do, so identifiable as Santa Fe – can’t imagine such a thing in New York City or Miami Beach. Great paintings, Suhita – really captures the city’s personality.

Yes, they just hang them. I’m surprised they don’t rot in rainy weather…

The bushes at the bottom just pop up from of my screen, I love it.
I don’t know about the chili peppers there but here in Europe, oranges from the trees in urban Spain, for instance, are of a non-edible variety.

Thank you! I don’t know whether the chilis were edible: didn’t try them…but from a too-long-ago visit to southern Spain I remember being startled that all those gorgeous oranges were inedible!… which makes me think, i want to visit again!
