Flattering Portraits

Flattering portraits is not my forte. Which might explain why my family doesn’t really want me to draw them. But I draw them anyways: Sleeping, eating, doing their homework: anytime when I think I have a captive audience.

These are quick little vignettes, often with no time for color, just pen and ink.

It’s almost October, time for Inktober, which is a good excuse to focus on inking skills for a month. Who’s joining me?

What a great idea – Inktober! I’m in, just what I need to do for a month.

These are lovely and my family shares the same sentiments….but I feel how lucky you are to capture these moments of them….I am going to try to just draw them and not take no for an answer…..or when they are sleeping! I like the sound of Inktober….

OK – my studio is complete and I’ve moved all my stuff in, so I have no excuse. 🙂 Inktober here we come.
